Getting Started
Vision is a non-custodial wallet, which means that only you have access to your funds and full control over them with the private keys that will be stored on your device. Vision does not hold your crypto, it just gives you access to it. It also means that we do not collect any personal information. Our wallet allows you to access your funds, exchange or sell and buy crypto for fiat. You can download Arctic for free for Windows, Mac OS and Linux on our website http://visionwallet.net.
Vision offers sending and receiving crypto without any internal fees. When talking about our exchange feature, Arctic only receives a small percentage of the exchange spread from our third-party API providers which help us develop our wallet and add even more useful features to it. This percentage may vary depending on market conditions.
Vision supports a wide range of assets and networks, you can check the full list of supported assets on our website. New assets are being added every two weeks.
Every time the new version is available for downloading, you will get a notification inside the app. Another option is to go to the Settings tab, there you will see a note that the new version is available. You just need to press the Update Vision button and the new version will be downloaded. You can also download the new version from our official website http://visionwallet.net.
Exchange, buy & sell
At the moment not all assets that are available for sending and receiving are available for exchanging, though we are constantly working on expanding the list. You can also check the asset’s status which tells you whether it is currently available for buy/sell/exchange following the link:
You will receive a notification as soon as we add a new asset available for the exchange. If you would like to know whether we are planning on adding a particular asset for the exchange, please drop us a line at support@visionwallet.net or let us know by contacting the support team by live chat.
You can buy and sell crypto in Vision Wallet with the help of our fiat-to-crypto and crypto-to-fiat partner Mercuryo.io. After you initiate your buy or sell trade in Arctic, the process will be completed inside the partner’s widget. At the moment the following assets are available for purchase or sale: BCH, BNB (BEP20), BTC, ETH, BUSD (BEP20), USDT (ERC20), 1INCH (BEP20), BAT (ERC20), OKB (ERC20). Mercuryo.io accepts VISA and MasterCard: virtual, debit and credit cards, UnionPay and ApplePay. Our partner allows purchases up to €900 in total without the proof of identity. Still, due to regulatory requirements in some regions, you may be asked to pass the verification. Please note that purchases through mobilepay will require you to pass the KYC for any values. Selling without the verification is not available.
Vision Wallet has an in-wallet exchange feature that allows you to swap more than 80 assets instantly via our partner’s API using Fixed Rate or Best Rate. Please keep in mind that the initially estimated amount can be different from the one you actually receive due to possible price fluctuations when using Best Rate. There is a minimum amount that you can exchange for each available currency, which is explained by the need to cover the network fee. In case you enter a number lower than the allowed minimum amount, you will be notified. For the Fixed Rate there is also a maximum amount for each currency, our interface will let you know as soon as you exceed the limit. For the Best Rate there is no maximum limit. You can always trace the exchange process and your transaction status using the History page. The exchange usually takes from 3 to 20 minutes, it mainly depends on the network speed. Some blockchains have the capability of processing the transactions quicker whereas others need a bit of time to create the blocks.
Our in-wallet exchanges are executed via the partner’s API. We are offering two kinds of exchanges: Fixed Rate exchange and Best Rate exchange. For Fixed rate orders we fix the rate for 15 minutes. The final amount will be the same as displayed regardless of the price fluctuations. For Best rate orders we find the best rate available offered by 7 liquidity providers at the moment of the exchange. The final amount may vary depending on the price fluctuations.
Send and receive
When sending the funds you can set the network fee which affects the speed of your transaction. The higher the fee, the faster your transaction will go through. If your transaction gets stuck in an ETH-like network (ETH, BEP20, MATIC, AVAX-C), you have the option to bump the fee and re-send the transaction with a higher fee. Once you see a red transaction in your transaction history, you can click it, go to the sending window and set a higher fee. Your transaction will go through much faster now!
Every time you send cryptocurrency, you have to pay the fee for the transaction to get included into the block. This fee is called “the network fee” and it makes up the miner’s reward for generating new blocks. Vision Wallet does not collect the network fee. The fees are calculated based on the network load and capacity. The busier the network, the higher the fee. The network fee also differs between the blockchains: the fee you pay in the ETH network is different from the one you pay in the BTC network. Transactions with higher fee have higher priority for the miners and are included in the new block faster than transactions with lower fee. Calculating the proper network fee can be a bit complicated sometimes, that is why Vision Wallet takes care of it for you and sets the best network fee at the time of your sending. Please note that you can also set a custom network fee.
Blockchain transactions are irreversible, so if you used the wrong address Vision Wallet will not be able to help you restore your funds. We are kindly asking you to double-check all the transaction details before sending.
Our convenient feature to favorite addresses allows you to gather the addresses you frequently use in one place.
Just press the heart icon beside the desired address in your transaction history then name this address. It is now stored in the Favorite Address tab! Next time you want to send the funds to this address, you can just choose it from your favorites instead of entering it manually again.
Manage your wallet
A private key is a secret number that is used to sign transactions and prove ownership of a blockchain address. It helps to protect a user from theft and unauthorized access to funds. It is vitally important to prevent your private keys from being lost or compromised. You can use your private key to import your existing wallet to Vision Walelt.
To import a wallet with its private key you simply need to choose the asset you want to import, press the three dots in the upper right corner and choose the “move funds” option. To finish the process you should paste the private key of the wallet you want to import and confirm the action. The funds from your previous wallet will be then automatically moved to your new Vision Wallet within one transaction. Please note that the network fee is deducted to complete the transfer.
Unfortunately, without the mnemonic or the password you will not be able to restore the access to your funds. Please try to remember your password or find the 12-word secret backup phrase. After three unsuccessful attempts to login with the wrong password, you will be offered to create a new wallet. The access to your old wallet will be lost along with all the Saved Transactions and Favorite Addresses settings.
When you first open your Vision Wallet app, you are offered to restore your previous wallet using your 12-word secret backup phrase also known as mnemonic. The full transition is possible from Nemer, Exodus, CoinBase, Coinomi, NOW Wallet and Metamask. If you are not using previously mentioned wallets, you can use the Move Funds feature to access your funds in Vision Wallet.
At the moment Vision does not support multiple accounts on one device. By restoring the account using mnemonic, you can access different wallets, but you can only use one wallet at a time. Vision is working on adding a multi-wallet feature.
Vision is a non-custodial service, ensuring that only you have access to your wallet. That is why it is extremely important to keep your 12-word secret backup phrase safe. Only your 12-word secret backup phrase allows you to restore access to the wallet in any case. If your device was lost, stolen or hacked, use restore by backup phrase option, clicking on Restore Wallet button. You will be asked to enter 12 words in the correct order, then you can set a new password and access your funds.
Unlike custodial services, Vision has no such feature as “an account”, so there is no need to delete it. The only person who has access to the wallet is you. Neither Vision nor our partners can access your wallet. All data is stored locally on your device. If you decide to stop using our service all you have to do is transfer your funds elsewhere. Other
It is not possible to view the balance of a certain Monero address by simply looking it up on the block explorer. Monero is a privacy-by-design cryptocurrency which uses various cryptographic means to ensure anonymity and privacy, that is why Monero address details are not public. You can only check some specific details of a certain Monero transaction, for example here.
To be able to see your incoming Monero transactions, you can use your Private View keys.
Beldex (BDX) is a privacy-by-design cryptocurrency that uses various cryptographic means to ensure anonymity and privacy. One of them is the usage of the Cryptonote protocol, therefore it is impossible to know the balance of your or any other wallet through the blockchain explorer.
Beldex blockchain explorer can only show some details about the transaction performed.
To see your Beldex (BDX) balance and transaction history you need to use your Private View keys.s
